Welcome to the third course in the Business English Series of the Business English Communication Skills Specialization. We are so glad you have joined us. Our colleague, Wendy Asklin, will be joining us in the third and fourth courses. Welcome Wendy.

Thank you, Daphne. Thank you, Richard. I have worked with Richard and Daphne for many years teaching Business English here at the University of Washington. And I'm pleased now to be joining my colleagues in this course.

I've been teaching here at this University for a bit over 20 years after earning my MA Tessle right here at the UW. I taught abroad in Istanbul, Turkey, and I understand the challenges of learning a language completely different from your own. And now I'm glad to be here working with all of you.
