Hello and welcome. Thanks for deciding to join our business English course in the business communication skills specialisation. This is our second course in the series, Meetings. In this course we'll be focusing on something that all businesses have in common, Meetings. We don't know if you love or hate meetings, but without a doubt, if you're in business, you'll have to deal with Meetings. And by taking this course, we hope that you'll become more confident because you'll know the appropriate behaviour for participating in and running meetings in English.

So let's take a look at what we'll be covering in this course. In the first week, you'll learn about different types of meetings and what makes a successful meeting. In week two, you'll learn about participating in and running meetings in the language of meetings. In the third week, you'll learn how to give a report in a meeting and what to do at the end of a meeting to summarise what has been decided. In the final week, you'll look at how to write a proposal based on the decision of a meeting. During this course, you'll also hear from business people and find out about several companies from the Seattle area. So are you ready? Let's get started.
