Hi, if you've taken our course on networking, you'll already know a little bit about us, but if this is the first course you're taking, let us briefly introduce ourselves. My name is Daphne Mackie, and I'm a lecturer in the International and English Language Programs here at the University of Washington in Seattle. I've been here at UW, as we call it, for 30 years, really hard to believe.
Hi, my name's Richard Moore, and I'm a
lecturer in the same unit as Daphne, and I've taught here at the University of Washington for over 20 years in teaching business English communication for the past 10 years. I'm originally from England, and I've lived and worked in the UK, Australia, France, and Korea.
It's really been fun to collaborate with Richard on this course. The second of five courses in the Business English Communication Skills Specialization. The topic of this course is meetings. You'll learn a lot about how to run and take part in meetings in English. You'll also get to
interact with other people from all over the world who are taking this course, and also learn some things about some companies based here. Well, we hope that you will enjoy course two and learn a lot, so welcome again to Business English Communication Skills meetings.
